From a simple deck to an outdoor classrooms, from herb planters to an elaborate treehouse; if you're looking for something original in wood for your garden, Sussex Garden Woodwork will create it for you. We believe that there's nothing more pleasing on the eye than some beautiful woodwork, and with the variety of hardwoods and softwoods available, all tastes from the rustic to the contemporary are catered for.
We build anything from a simple piece of furniture to large complex projects.
Sussex Garden Woodwork is run by Ed Sheppard, who has been working in the industry for over 15 years. He has a rarely used MA in Spanish, an ICA(NVQ) equivalent Carpentry and Joinery diploma and a RHS General certificate. Starting as a landscaper, he focused on the carpentry side of the business, moving into treehouses, storage, furniture and outdoor classrooms. Apart from the few shown on the web site, Ed has been project manager and head foreman on over one hundred treehouse builds all over the UK and abroad.
We have several dedicated woodworkers and landscapers working with us, along with a metal-worker and a London-based architect for larger projects requiring more detailed designs.
